Welcome

In December of 2005 I had my first astrology reading with Laurence Hillman. He told me that my calling in life was "to do home."  I teared-up in vague, reluctant recognition of the words I was hearing. I was about to start a new business venture-- to open my own psychotherapy practice, and the advice I got was that "what happens at home is more important than what happens in the world of work."

I now understand much more about why and how my soul stirred in resonance to his words. The truth is, I've been in search of sacred spaces and places and communities that I could call Home all of my life. What defines home for me, I have discovered, is any space that allows for desire to be ignited, passion kindled, soul touched, and the center of one's being contacted, honored, and cherished.

I aspire to create such a space for my clients, literally & metaphorically, in the psychotherapuetic work that I do. I recently had the very good fortune to create such a space for myself, my husband, and our dog that we now call home. My design consultations aim to inspire and assist others in doing the same- whether that be at home, work, or out in nature.

I work with clients to create sacred alters or desk space; a writing studio out of a closet or an art room within a basement; a memorial space for a deceased loved one; or a design plan for an entire home. The element of the Sacred, and not the size of a project, is the common element within my design work. The Sacred resides within the ordinary, just as Vesta resides within the Flame. When we honor this, the energy of space changes. Passion ignites. Desire burns. Soul thrives. And fire creates light and shadow. This is the energy of at-homeness.

I encourage you to explore ways of inviting Vesta into the spaces of your life. Be inspired.
